We got him.
I’ve been very out of it for the past week, and don’t have my computer with me, so please accept this short phone update from the hospital room.
As of Monday, July 27, Krang (who remember was just the colon tumor), is officially homeless. My colon is still waking back up, and boy is this journey painfully gassy, but painfully gassy is so much better than having an additional tumor in my body.
Now, on to deal with his dumb liver kids, who’ve complicated this entire journey the most. I got a scan today to evaluate when their eviction will happen (likely Wednesday, but will find out for sure tomorrow.) One thing the scan showed is that the liver tumors are STILL the same size as they’ve been since I’ve been off of chemo, and no new tumors! Those liver kids really take after their dad; being so chemo sensitive!
So, step 1 is complete and went as well as it could.
Step 2 starts this week, and I’m doing all things: taking laps around the hospital level I’m on, starting to eat solid foods slowly, using my spirometer, and… chewing gum (no really, it’s prescribed to get the bowels moving!)
